I'm studying Library Science in grad school. I worked in a library for five years...never really developed any other skills so I decided to continue my studies in the hopes of it helping me find work. The hardest part has been learning all the new technologies...I find that I always get nervous before learning a new program or database....Also just doubts about whether I'm right for this profession in general. Technology is a huge part of the profession and I'm not sure how to get over this fear and stop comparing myself to my classmates, who are all pretty competent...

Does anyone have any good advice?

Alma

Is there any way you can get some tutoring from somebody on the skills you are uncomfortable with? Or maybe take a course in computers related to what you need to learn?

Thank you....I have a break for the next month and will look into taking classes.

Also thanks for not judging me, I feel so fragile right now. And thanks for the hug
