Not coping very well any more.
Looking for real work but I can't count on my current job for any kind of reference or even a final paycheck.
Who do I talk to when there are no jobs and no money?
No one wants an old broken man.

I agree, with the problem of age discrimination. I'm 61 and am working as a temp, of course, I've been at this same place for over 2 years but they don't want to hire me permenately, then they would have to give me benefits. So at anytime without warning i could lose my job, so I feel for you. But don't give up, start looking now for something else. There are jobs out there and probably a few that respect experience.

Thanks, Citrine. I still have internet access so I know there's some training I can get to if I'm quick enough.

If you're old you probably have a lot of experience. List your last fifteen years of experience only to avoid ageism.
