Ooops. Major oops. I just spent $40 on a manicure and found I cannot type with these acrylic nails on. I tried to tell the lady to keep them short and filed...I don't have a typing job right now but on Feb. 12th I have an interview. Is it all a waste of $40, should I just get them pulled off, which costs an additional $10? Or should I just enjoy having pretty, girly valentine's hands and not working or do anything with my useless hands? Lol!!!

Hmm...maybe go back and have your nails filed down. And next time, try gel polish. It's amazing.

Practice with them on? I've seen women with some insane nails that type faster than I do. They do it by laying their hands flat and using the pad of the finger rather than the tip. It's wild and makes a funny, ticka, ticka, tack sound, but seems to work for them.

Oh, and what are "Valentine's hands"?

Cut or file them down...and I agree that gel polish is the way to go!

Red, white and pink with hearts and cupid's arrows. Next time I'll go with the $20 gel nails manicure, short and sweet.

Red white and pink is probably not appropriate for an interview or work. Perhaps you can file them down (I used to when I had acrylics) use polish removal and put on a clear or neutral color. Then schedule to have your valentine nails redone. I know it's not what you want to hear, but you don't want your nails to be the focus of the interview. You want you and your abilities to be the focus.
