I need help. I’m completely burned out in my job. I literally have to talk myself into going every day and then I have to talk myself into staying. I can’t do anything else and I need this job. I just want to not dread it so much. How can I get over this burnout?

I have days off coming but not until April and then a full week in August. I can’t go part-time either. I just…I feel like I need a break but I have to save my vacation time for our family vacations, days I can’t make in for the weather, and illnesses. I’ve already had to miss two days this year for the weather and I can’t miss anymore if I want to use my vacation time for fun things. I just…heck, I think I need a hypnotist like in Office Space. Know of one in the Midwest you can recommend or any other tips on how to get over burn out? I tried Mr. Google but the only thing he seemed to recommend was a new job. I don't qualify for anything else.

Thank for reading.

I went through a time when I was burnt out about work and absolutely dreaded going in so I tried to focus on positive things about the job. I chose my paycheck. my paycheck was a good thing. it helped me do my job well because I wanted to keep getting it. it was the reward I got for showing up each day. then there were the people I worked with. I enjoyed my coworkers so I could focus on the positive things about them. plus, I help people in my job so I could focus on that positive aspect and enjoy that. after a couple months of focusing on these positive things I soon got over my burnout and began enjoying my job again. take care.
