I've had this recipe binder for about 3 years. It had all sorts of recipes I had gathered up at my two different jobs, plus a childhood recipe book that I had gotten from a friend for Christmas many years ago. I had a $10 pie and cake magazine and recipes that we had used at my internship in college even and they were amazing recipes. There was even a $5 bill that I had gotten as a gift in it, I found out I left it in the binder that same day it was taken.

I know I had left it in the ladies restroom at this college I work at; which is the cafes restroom.

I feel so sad for leaving it there; I was in a rush. I can't believe someone in their mind would take something of someone's stuff like that though. I would feel so terrible if I did that to someone.

I wonder if there is a way I can put a flyer up where students can see it. It wasn't at the lost in found. I maybe best to just have to let go and gather more memories and good recipes in a new binder.

I know I will be fine. I mainly posted this to let out frustrations. I do smile when I think of starting up a new binder. Plus, I really wonder if there is a way to delete posts.

I would have felt very sad about that, too, pastrychef. I think putting up a flyer would be appropriate but starting a new binder sounds like a good way to move on.
Thanks for this!

Thank you!

I may never get that binder back (my gut instinct) but an attempt is better than nothing. If I do eventually get it back I can always put my old recipes in my new binder.

I will have to check back at the lost and found again tomorrow.

I am so sorry to hear that and that no one has turned it in yet. (((((HockingPastryChef)))))) I can understand what it would be like if I lost mine with family recipes, etc. In being so important, I would put up a flyer and even consider adding a reward (but do not list the amount on the flyer, if you do so). I hope someone returns it of their own volition meanwhile but no matter, will hope that it is returned. Enjoy the new recipes you collect meanwhile.

Putting up flyers sounds like a good idea. Is there a campus newspaper? Maybe you could place a "lost" ad in the paper.

I've got to tell you I'm pretty sick of people stealing from others. I worked in a place up until 2008 (25 years) where my co-workers swiped it if it wasn't nailed down. You could not lay down a pen and expect to see it an hour later.

What you lost was much more important. I can't believe you're not angry.
