I know it's difficult to look for a good job these days. Tend to freak out especially when I know it's going to be a panel interview. Today HR told me that it's going to be at 8 am tomorrow. So I need to come up with a good presentation and all. But ended up advising them I had a previous engagement which slipped my mind. Right now I'm a bundle of nerves! I am not prepared and my thoughts are all mixed up. Am actually in panic mode.

i go into panic mode a lot. i have classes i have to teach and meetings i have to attend to present what my agency does. with my panic disorder my mind tells me i cant do these things.... i am able to calm myself when i realized that i am really confident in the material i am presenting so there is no reason i have to worry....if i know what i am doing, how can i possibly screw it up,,,right?

I hope you are feeling more calm now! I can see myself doing the same thing, feigning an appointment on the spur of the moment because 8 AM seems too soon. At least it makes you look busy!

I hate panel interviews...and group interviews...yikes
I'm sorry you're feeling so nervous about it, you aren't alone. Presentations make tons of people anxious. I'm sure those panel interviewers are glad they're on the opposite side of the table not having to give the interview, it's always easier being the one who judges as opposed to the one who preforms. So just know that they usually have sympathy unless they're cold heartless people. Sometimes they will even help put you at ease by making the interview easier and less daunting.

Thanks you guys! Finally did it. They rescheduled it for 7 am today since the interviewer is leaving tomorrow since he's not based here. Lo and behold ... it was only him since it was too early for the other interviewers hehehe. So let's wait and see. The only thing he told me after the interview was he thinks I'm very professional so he will let HR know. But he still has a round of interviews to conduct today so ... I really can't tell if he shortlisted me.
Thanks for this!
