One of my biggest problems is being afraid to ask the bosses for work, because I am afraid of confrontation. So when the statistics come out it looks like I am underutilized. Oh well, they are off-shoring a lot of my work to India now anyway.:

Cygnus, the best way I find to be productive is to find problems in an organization, document the problem with your superiors, suggest solutions and get approval to implement suggestions. This can make your role as an on site specialist a strong deterrent to having my job outsourced.
