My dog bit me last night on my hand where I had to go to the hospital and get stitches. The nurse said for me to take off for a couple days. I told my boss about it and she said I still have to work or she would cut my hours if I take off for a couple days. Also, nobody would come in for me. And my boss' boss told her if I take off again to fire me. I work at a grocery store. I can't pick up a lot of stuff, so I will be going to work and be useless. I'll try my best. I'm just afraid to open the wound again. I can't even pick up milk. I hope the customers don't make me lift anything heavy...

Thank you everybody. My pharmacist scared me because he said if it gets infected then they'll cut off my arm. She bit deep to the bone. It freaks me out.

Woah woah woah a pharm said they will cut off your arm? That's a bit much, even in school we learn professionalism and that we can get the point across w/o scaring the daylights out of customers. Don't worry AandA pretty sure that was just their way of stressing the importance of taking the med. Also whoever you work for should be more understanding. I guess just use the one arm and then you'll have to go slow? I'll keep my fingers crossed that it goes well for you!

A company that does not care about health and safety or the wellbeing of it's staff is not a company to stay with. I found that out the hard way. Look for another job.

It's healing pretty well. I took it slow at work even though it was really busy because of Mother's Day.
