I have come to the conclusion that I am need of a career change, buy my education is limited , I am a compassionate person and love helping people but careers I would like to do require higher education which I cannot afford so I need some advice on where to go and how to get there ugggh.... right now I am a support worker for a teen with a learning disability and a home helper (cleaning homes) for seniors and pple with disabilities...I love listening to peoples problems and helping them out where needed, I love helping people when in crisis situations , abused women and children.....I just don't know how to change careers or to move forward from what I do already , I cant clean homes forever, I thought about going out on my own but don't know where to start...career ideas pls!!

desperately needing to talk with someone!!!!

If you have ruled out college, then starting your own business in the area of home caregiving might be an option. There is a great demand for that type of work with an aging population both in Canada and the US. There are generally resources available to help you develop a business plan and find money to get started.

Thank you, I will look into that, as well as crisis call centre ... I have a few ideas now , so time to put them together
