I just got a new hairdo and am nervous about how it will be received by my coworkers tomorrow.
I don't like attention but this hair style is so different than what I normally wear that I'm sure there will be lots. It's nothing crazy but just classically different than what I normally wear. It's also been years since I changed my hair last. |

I feel for you. I would be overwhelmingly self conscious about it. However, I know, at least where I work (and it's mostly men) they will only say something if they like it, and they will say something nice. Usually, they say nothing, cuz they're guys.
If you like it, that is all that matters! |

Guys will shave off beards or mustaches and people cant figure out whats different about them. Or get new glasses. A woman i worked with had a jay leno jaw and was out for six weeks having surgery on it to reset it - i thought she got a new haircut. Really people have TERRIBLE memories! And its not politically correct to comment on others appearance, so people might not say anything! Be prepared for any eventuality. I looooove makeovers

Everyone may make a fuss when they first see it, but it will be over soon!

Aww.. Do you like the new hairdo? If you do, wear it with pride! Also, congratulations on having the courage to get something new done on your hair!
![]() I'm also sure that if anyone comments on it, it'll be something positive. It'd take a real jerk to say something negative.. Whatever happens, know that we've got your back ![]() |

I recently made an (accidental and dramatic) change. People ALL commented. The overwhelming number were positive. And there was even one person who gushed to such an extent...
It really brings out your complexion. Your eyes! This is a GREAT color for you... ..that I began to think that it looked like c#$%p BEFORE I made the change. People will say just about anything at work to ....say anything. The part that matters is that you like it and that the people YOU LIKE like it. And if they don't....let it g(r)o! |

Update: my boss didn't say anything about my hair but everyone else complimented me throughout the day. I feel proud that I went through with this. One step closer to full confidence in myself.
Thank you all for your support! |

Way to go! Shirley Maclaine said, "Don't be afraid to go out on a limb. It's where all the fruit is." Sometimes that limb feels pretty scary, though.

As a person myself i used to sell Mary kay and avon, and boy how much the people i did facials on like how the change looked. a new haircut on myself i always enjoy too, i have it done sometimes differrent alot too and i love it myself. as long as you like it yourself that is really all that counts too. good luck i'm sure your boss liked it but maybe was too proud to admit it as all the others told you they liked it too.
