Are there any companies in US where boss-subordinate work culture doesn't exist?

I thought US was flat hierarchy system but now I'm told otherwise

I think that is MOSTLY lip service and a fantasy.

There are very steep hierarchies here in the US -- and some organizations that do, in fact, have a flatter culture.

But much of this is "wishful thinking."

Be prepared to obey -- or else.
Thanks for this!

Trendy companies like to consider themselves "flat" in structure. I agree it is a total fantasy to attract top talent.
