I kinda already posted about this in self help but I didnt realize there was a career section lol
But I am about to get my BS in psychology with a minor in bio and just now realizing there are no jobs out there. Like even with a masters degree. And the ones that are out there pay nothing and are awful work I feel like an idiot for listening to my advisors who said I should go on and become an lcsw. After really doing research on social work ive realized what a horrible mistake ive made. Seriously just do a google search for it!!! I feel like I've made a massive waste of my money and time and I'm even doing an extra semester this year just to graduate. I dont know what to do ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have a BA in psychology, which is basically useless. Some people will tell you it opens doors, which may be true depending on your motivation level.

The good thing is, you've got your whole life ahead of you and have time to decide what to do next. You're not stuck in a career you've been in for years that you suddenly hate.

Thats a good point. I guess I really just don't know what to do next and I have to make a very careful choice as my resources and loan money are starting to become limited. Another good thing is I'm only about $25,000 in debt because I went to state school I wouldn't hate the career itself, but I just didnt realize how few good jobs were available for it. Like sure there are plenty of TSS and group home jobs available, and I'd probably like them, but you don't need a masters degree (probably any degree) for it and you can't support a family on $11 an hour, especially when you owe money for your degree Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
