So you ask, what are my crimes? Well, I have two:

1) calling off sick last Monday. In spite of feeling awful, I worked the prior Friday on a diet of DayQuil and Gatorade. Then I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I had strep (luckily it wasn't) but the doc at urgent care told me to take off. Of course, that day went all to hell in a hand basket, and guess who wasn't there to clean up the mess...

2) going out of town for the holidays. Sorry I don't have family in town. Sorry I get 2 days vacation. I guess since I'm single, I'm not permitted to take vacation. I guess I should spend Christmas home alone.

Single with no kids in a career-oriented large corporate job? Forget about it. You'd be better off sitting in traffic all day, or, root canal therapy.
Thanks for this!
