Huff. I applied for a role with an organisation I work in partnership with. I know people there and thought I was in with a good chance. But they didn't even call me for interview. I have a full time job, so I'm not about to be homeless, but I want to do something different. I matched the JD. I'm not going to ask why because I'm too cross. But I have a work related meeting with the woman who didn't short list me, which is going to be weird. Not sure if I should mention it. But close friends who worked there say I had a lucky escape and a lot of people want to leave. I don't know if they're just saying that to be kind. The job just looked so interesting. I find it hard to motivate myself in my current role. Sigh. Sorry this is so trivial. It just makes me want to isolate and I'm bad enough at that already........

Thank you. I love the internet. People halfway round the world who've never met can make eachother feel better.

Did she mention it when you met with her? It sounds short sighted on their part not to at least talk with you about the job since they work with you already.

I wouldn't be able to resist asking her about it!
