Then work towards something you will like. You must not work in something you don't like otherwise you're heading into a wall. Find another job during free days and quit your current one. I did that a few times, I know people that did and we're all much happier. Try it, it's just not worth it to stay in your current job if you're unhappy.
Thanks for this!

I have applied 4 approximately 400 jobs to 300 companies. I am facing age discrimination at the age of 65. I wish I could retire or get another job but I have no $$$ for retirement.

I got a job that gives very few free days, plus it is night shift and quite physical (and boring) so it leaves me feeling tired all the time. Wish I could just walk away from this thing tbh.

Yeah, okay, that changes everything... do you have any family, childs, friends, you could talk to? Maybe explaining them your problem could help you find a solution. Maybe counseling could help? In Canada we have social aid but I heard it's only 1 year in the States. But do rest assured we will do our best to help you find a solution, dancinglady, we're with you!

No family no friends intellectually disabled adult children unable to help. No one IRL to help. I would lose my home if I stop working. Section 8 housing has a 5-6 year waiting list. No way out.

Well, the only solution I see in all you wrote would be to keep working at your job for 5-6 years but that's not a solution at all and you obviously already thought about it. I hate to admit it but your situation is beyond me, I'm sorry.

I wish you the best, may someone more qualified than me help you find a solution that is good for you, I believe we all deserve it.

Take care and most important, don't ever give up!

This is what everyone says. Giving up and now starting to drink excessively is my only solution. I am done. Don't tell me not to give up. It is my only way out.

No it is not. Proof, when you wake up the morning, the problems are still there. It's only a temporary solution. Trust me, I speak by experience. One of my uncle did just this and died because of his excessive drinking. I saw him in his last days and believe me, you don't want to this! No one truly want this.
Thanks for this!
