So I've been out of work for several months due to some health issues. Now I have a few interviews coming up. I'm nervous but I won't let nerves get the best of me.

What are some of your pre-interview rituals or recommendations? How do you get the jitters out?

Hello Sliders: Personally I would say the best remedy is practice, practice, practice... The more you do it, the more comfortable you'll get at it. Plus, most interviewers ask similar questions. So each interview is an opportunity to refine the answers you give. During your interviews, pay attention to how your answers are being received. Do they seem to be working? Are they being met with positive responses? If not, then think about ways in which your responses can be tweaked in order to create a more positive impression.

Oh congrats!

At the very least it's good practice...

In my humble opinion, research the company a lot...you will feel less anxious and you will look good when you ask questions specific to each place.
Thanks for this!

It's old fashioned but try using STAR = Situation, Task, Action, Result. Describe something, what you had to achieve, how you did it and then how it went. Think of half a dozen and they'll last you for every interview! Good luck.
Thanks for this!

Hi, I understand how you feel, but you need to stay calm and believe that you can do it well. You may do some readings too about "How to Prepare for a job Interview?". I hope that helps. Good luck and have great blessings ahead!
