I don't know weather I should do my self study for my future career or do part time jobs after school.
You see, I live in a Confucianismistic society. I feel like I have to be in the work force like everybody else in my age. However, I also feel like if I work hard for my art skills, I could have a decent job with stable income. In that case, I must do self study and practice hard. But I can't consentrate on my study because I have a feeling that I have to do part time jobs like every other being. I feel really frustrated that I am the only one not independent, working, and earning money like any other undergrads. I don't need to work because my grandmother earns 1.5 million yen (or 15000 us dollars) a month from her real estate income and gives me 500 dollars a month, meaning that I am financially stable. What should I do after school? Peruse in my study and training. Or find a part time job and earn money. If so, how? |

I would pursue your future career full time and treat it as if it were your job. Training and study is work and you are working towards a career that will put you in the workforce.
Another thought: Is it possible to find a part time job that takes only one day a week, so you can pursue your future career on the other days? That would help you feel you are contributing, but also pursuing your career. |

I would try to do both... you will learn important skills at a part time job, even if it is very, very part time. You are fortunate because you can spend time searching for a job with perfect hours, one or two days a week like Yzen suggested.
Or perhaps you could volunteer or intern a day or two a week in your desired industry? |
