I'm considering getting into cyber security. Does anyone on here currently work in that field? If so what would you say it is like? Is it extremely stressful?

Not in cyber security, but in IT and have been involved in software projects. I find these fields very stressful. Something goes wrong and a lot of people want it fixed immediately. The job can be 24/7 at times and you can work insanely long hours when there's a deadline or crisis.
The few people I know who have pursued cyber security degrees or certifications work in IT departments and the security training is an aspect of their job, not the primary function. On the upside, you will be well compensated and in demand! |

I think cyber security would be a good job salary-wise. Many firms want their networks protected. However, as mentioned by hvert, it can be demanding. I suggest to consider software developing as another option. It's less demanding, but it pays well, and you don't have to fear unemployment.
