So my boss just called me on the office phone. I took a bit longer to answer the phone as I wanted to get some property information up on my laptop (We are property agents) as I thought it was a client call and it would be good to have this ready and open so i knew which property they were calling about.

Anyway, I answered the phone on like the fourth ring or something...

My boss picks up and is like "Can I just ask why did you take so long to answer the phone?". I explained and told him that I wanted to have this information open and ready. And then he's like "You need to answer the phone straight away if it rings, our clients don't have time to wait".

I mean can he not try to control everything I do. I answered the phone in plenty of time. If I had of missed the call (which would not have happened in a million years) then I would have checked the number and I would have called the client back straight away. I am completely responsible.

I dunno, I just want to vent. Like, does he have to make a problem when no problem exists. Does he have to control me on everything, when I already know that I am completely responsible. Its just irking on me.

Also, he keeps on coming to the office and he has really bad breath. Its gross.

Also, I was trying to arrange something on his behalf the other day, it was a viewing for one of the flats we were renting out. One of our clients had told me that she couldn't view the flat any earlier than 8pm as this was the time that she finished work. So I arranged with her to view the flat at 8pm, I was just waiting on her to call me back to confirm. We then had another client who wanted to view the same flat, so I arrange for him to view it at 7:30pm as I thought that this made the most sense as the first client would be viewing at 8pm. Anyway, I arranged this with everyone and THEN my boss calls the second client back and changes the viewing time to 6:30pm and then he's like this time is even better. Even better how? You have one viewing at 6:30pm and one viewing at 8pm - the 8pm viewing was not confirmed but I was 90% sure the client would be there as she had told me earlier that she was working until 7:30pm and wanted to see the flat at 8pm.
I just felt like this was annoying, like I planned things out in the best way. Its not easy being the middle man and having to arrange on behalf of other people all the time. Anyway my boss went to the viewing at 6:30pm with the first client and he did not do the second viewing at 8pm.

Also, I have a ****** sales job.

Also, our company is a two person company (me and him). Its very weird and intense to have no other coworkers. I feel like I'm going crazy.

Sounds like a start up with your mention of only 2 employees?
He definitely sounds like he's micromanaging which has its pluses on a technical angle, not so much where interpersonal needs are concerned. Are there any points in time where telecommuting can be accomplished? Shared office spaces are challenging at times, no doubt. Can induce a sense of cabin fever.
