Hello. I'm 23, i'm currently in college and i'm slowly forced to get job in order to continue. I've been employed twice so far, for long term periods, and it was traumatizing. Abusive and mean bosses, very low earnings (max. 250 Euro/month) for a long schedule 8-10h, 6/7 days. I've been yelled at, insulted, and stressed over limit (usually because along my normal job i had to do other jobs as well "because she asked me nice" and if not she would pay me less. Some times i had to take antidepressants to sleep at night. I couldn't quit because i had nowhere to go and i needed money. My mother is in the same **** as i was, on the same boss and she is working like a slave for a ****** salary just to survive the taxes. I'm simply terrified of getting a job again. I'm terrified of being someone's ***** again. It's just i feel like if this is the life then what's the point of living anymore? Sacrificing my sanity for a fistful of coins it's simply not worth living.

Hope ..hope is what has driven the human race on , and a survival instinct . There's 7 billion humans in the world , and as depressing as it might sound , you have a better life than 80% of then just as it is . Endure it , make plans , take small steps towards achieving them . None of us asked to be thrust into this life thing . But here we are all the same . Believe in yourself . Believe in your dreams . The meaning of life is to hang in there long enough for it to make sense .

What kind of work do you do? It's not uncommon if you're unskilled labor for them to treat you like crap, because if you leave, there's someone else waiting to step up in your place. Once you finish school and have your degree, you may find the potential job prospects a bit better.

Good luck,
Seesaw

My advice is to interview them as much as they interview you. Ask about the company management style and company culture. Get the inside scoop. Ask the supervisor what their management style is like. Ask them to describe it. Ask them how they show that they value their employees. Ask what are the greatest positives of working for the company and the greatest challenges involved. Read company reviews too, if they are available.
