Hello, I have been having a lot of problems at work. I have been working here for 7 years now. Management has changed, supervisor has changed many times. Every time someone new comes in to work all we hear is "in my branch we did this"....and I get angry. This is your branch, you applied to work here. It feels so tough because, even though we have been doing it one way, all of a sudden its wrong because you say so. Sheesh. Also, being the customer service side, the manager doesn't pay too much attention to us or support us. It gets really frustrating as we are left without any backup and then it's our fault when the customers aren't happy. I have had a lot of anger issues at work and have even blown up from anger....at the manager (oops). So, now that I've thrown all that out, there is so much other stuff going on but, hopefully, I'll have more time to work through all of it. Anyway, thanks for readying and for your feedback.

Anyone would be annoyed at a new boss coming in and saying "you're doing it all wrong, do it my way!" I hope you can find a way to keep your temper at work and not lose it. I don't have any great tips, I complain to friends and coworkers which isn't that much better, lol.

Unfortunately that's the nature of having changing bosses. They come in and want to change things to their way of doing things, and that's why they were hired, because someone higher up believes you should be doing things the way this new supervisor says it should be.
It is frustrating though to make changes to the way you do things, but if you can understand and accept that unless you're the supervisor/manager, you will always have to bend to what your supervisor wants, then you will feel less frustration for it. Having been on the new manager side, I was hired to come in and implement best practices. So I heard a lot of "well we always do it this way." Try to understand from the manager's side that their job is to increase productivity and profits, so the status quo doesn't always fit that goal. That's not to say it isn't frustrating or that your frustration isn't valid. Dealing with any change at work can be frustrating and difficult to deal with. We all go through it, and we are here for you. Re: your anger issues, are you seeing a therapist or seeking any help to address these issues and learn how to manage your anger better? Welcome to PC. I hear your frustration, TyeDye. I've been at my job for 17 years now and I'm ready to walk out. They've hired people who are worse than the last and all of them expecting things to be their way instead of trying to work with the employees and situation and then changing it. April 1, 2017 felt like a bad April's fool joke when we got this last joker. She's making a mess and she's pissing people off. People like me that have been there for a long time. I'm not stuck in my ways, I understand we need change, but you can't be a jerk about it either. She's very obtuse and she's actually taking us backwards technology wise. Who does that? A 50 yo woman that is an... well, I'm not happy. Sorry to hijack your post. I'm pretty angry myself with work. Trying to see stuff from their point of view has not helped when they totally ignored my 17 years of experience to do it their way. I wish I had some advice to help you. I really do.
