I am hoping someone could help me put together some words to ask my boss to allow me to have a therapy animal with me at work. My workplace is very welcoming to all animals, pets, and service dogs alike, but to ask to bring in a therapy animal and admit I have a mental illness is very nerve-wracking. I do not know what to say, what to disclose, and what not to disclose. Thank you.

If they are already welcoming to pets, do you have to disclose anything?

is your pet a ESA? if so, a letter from dr or therapist stating you need them for work should be enough.
