My primary client and main source of income has been in the process of integrating with the company that acquired them for so long that another company has acquired the first company.
It's just spiraling out of control. Every day is worse. The corporate company takes away something that worked and replaces it with something that only sort of works. People come to me to fix their problems, but I can't. I need corporate to assist but they just ignore me. Today I overheard someone complaining about my inability to fix something for him. He wasn't overly rude but he was basically saying I wasn't competent. I let him know I overheard, but I am still upset about this. I don't *feel* competent anymore. I should be finding new clients, but I am so deflated by what's happening at this place. I spend too much time thinking about it and lying around depressed by it. To make matters even worse, things have been so chaotic there lately that I am working extra hours, hours I should be using to find other revenue streams. |

That sounds like a tough situation. Sorry you are dealing with it. It sounds like it's probably time to start looking for a new job, but I know that can be tough when you are overworked and feeling depressed. Chaotic work environments can really suck the life out of you. Lots of hugs to you!

I agree it's time to put your feelers out and look for something more stable.
