I was denied the first time.... Now just trying to wait out the days before I can appeal. I have someone that specializes in these applications, which does help. I've been told by several people that I should be on it..... But do I believe them.... I have reduced my hours at my part time job. I'm at 12-14 hours a week. If I'm lucky....

I genuinely hate this waiting game. And more things physically keep happening.... Pain in back, a lump, and foot cramps. Nothing that would put me on disability, but it's enough to be annoying. Is it bad that I feel like I need to go back to the hospital, just to get on disability?
Thanks for this!

good luck, Clar! i based my appeal on the option: "Condition Has Worsened". i was in terrible shape, and it was true. it really helps to have doctors confirm that, tho. have you seen the SocSec doc yet ? when they are getting close to a determination, they make you go see one of their docs, so they can screen out many 'fraudulent claims'. their idea of fraud is: you aren't suffering enough to do NO WORK. but downgrading your work hours is a good thing, in their eyes. it took me 19 months to get certified,, i hear that is about average for non-catastrophic physical events (like a massive stroke). please keep us posted~!

Good luck. I managed it on my first try. Just lucky, I guess. I hear the appeals system is very frustrating, so stay strong as you work your way through the system. I hope it all goes well for you!
