So in addition to reaching a settlement agreement, finding that a big proposal that I wrote for my former employer got funded so I was successful, and finding out that they are ending the year with a big operating deficit...I found out today that the woman who laid me off "resigned." She had barely been there a year. They had gone through a 2 year search to find her. My guess is that she found that the CEO was horrible to work with and was forced out. I feel bad for her but maybe now she can see what I went through in a new light.

But, I feel completely vindicated at this point.

Feeling very strong and powerful as a person right now.

Oh, I think this feeling is good enough. I'm celebrating by continuing to kick *** with my consulting business.

Hahha, I have another thing to add to this whole thing...

I recall when I was part of the group that interviewed this woman, before she took the job, and she talked about building her team and how she fired some guy and when she saw him a year later or so, he thanked her because he had been miserable and now was doing something he loved...well, I wouldn't thank her for that BUT...

Thanks to her firing me, I will have won money off them in the settlement that will go towards the down payment on my first house, and I am doing really well in running my own business and being really successful, so I can afford to do that. I make twice what I made at my old job and probably more than she makes, lol...so yeah, thank you for firing me so I could sue you and win money. Lol!
