Just got a job interview on Monday. I’m still recovering from my manic episode but I feel hopeful yet feel like I’m lacking confidence. It’s an ARMHS position how can I feel more confident about the interview?

What is an ARMHS position?

I think the best way to bring confidence to the interview is to have confidence in your ability to be the best fit for the job. Good luck on your interview.
Thanks for this!

It was hard for me to go through the job interview process after many years of unemployment. One thing that my caseworker from the Department of Rehab had me do that really helped was to hunt around for the most commonly asked interview questions, write down answers, and practice answering them out loud. You can't prepare for every question, but having a narrative in your head about what your story is and what your skills are makes a huge difference. One caveat - it is common for people with a shaky history to downplay their strengths. My caseworker was great about helping me state my answers in a more positive way. Maybe you can find someone who can go over your answers with you. Also, it takes practice to get good at interviewing. It took me six tries before I got an offer, and I made some really dumb mistakes the first few times around.

Just a suggestion...

You bring understanding and relatability to the table. Understanding mental health is a good first step. To gain confidence research the company. Try and figure out what their company culture is like. See if there are reviews from current and former employees on websites like glassciling.com.

That's easy.

1) Believe in yourself

2) Get over fear (Which is False Evidence Appearing Real)

3) Stand in the mirror and look yourself dead in the eye and say "I GOT THIS" until you believe it.

*Also remember that no one is going to be more confident in you than yourself.

I've included a video by Les Brown as bit more help.

Now when it comes to the interview itself. You should look up Star Behavioral Interview questions. Most employers use these when interviewing applicants.
