i am so frustrated with work. my coworker warned me about the people i am working for and everything she said is true. they are disorganized and some are not good workers. i can never reach the supervisor because she hardly checks her email and her voicemail is not even set up. i often get things last minute. they all get to telework and i have to go to the office, risk getting covid, to do their work cuz i am low on the totem pole. and i have underlying health conditions. the big boss says our health is her top priority but when i asked if i could move a little further away from my coworkers she said no because she wanted me to watch the front. i can't even see the front from where i am at. ack. i want so bad to quit but i need my health insurance and just the thought of looking for another job is so depressing. somebody help me get outta there!

It's not about my job exactly, but I was contacted on LinkedIn by a company that wanted to interview me. It's a well-known international company. They asked for an updated resume and for me to answer some questions. Anyways, I'm pretty happy with my current situation, but I figure it couldn't hurt to interview. However, I wanted to know if it was an in-office position or work from home and if it was at the office where was it located. The guy didn't indicate that in the initial message. I figured it made no sense to start a hiring process if the location didn't work for me. It's been 3 days and the guy never responded. How rude. Well, I guess I won't be interviewing with that company.

I’m going back to work hopefully before summer. I plan on working 6 weeks after I move. I’m hoping to get back into the company I previously worked for. I didn’t tell the boss off and stormed off when I quit like I did with that one job (I still have zero regrets about how I quit and what I said to her) but this job I really liked and I miss it all the time and I feel bad about leaving but the Covid stuff and how they handled it made it too difficult to continue.

Management needs to start understanding that my job is not a cookie cutter job you can micromanage. Believe it or not guys, every dog is an individual. I handle them every day. You sit in an office building every day. Shut your mouth and let me do my job.

My old coworker I dealt with for just under a year, who texted me non stop about everything then suddenly ghosted me and quit work suddenly, PM me on Facebook today. At first it was a generic “hope all is well.” Then she sent me a picture of a Starbucks drink she got. Since we both like Starbucks. At first I was annoyed that she was PM me after stopping contact 1.5 years ago. But then I figured she’s just trying to be nice and is probably pretty insecure. But I am not one to get sucked into these types of things with people so I politely responded to her message and then just left it at that.

Well, I was kind of annoyed yesterday. There was a project that I thought I had done really well. My client (I work freelance) read a few paragraphs and said I'd have to redo it because I hadn't understood what I was supposed to do. In the end, when she read the whole thing and read the questionnaire that the client had sent, she realized that I actually had done a great job with incorporating what the client wanted and I didn't have to make changes after all.
I guess, at least she apologized and complimented my work. However, the stress in the interim was awful. The last two crappy bosses I had would do things like that and never apologize. It made me feel like I was back in those situations. |
