I’m not handling work pressure well. I get anxious. I make poor decisions as a result. A new coworker of mine today talked with me about an issue going on and she pulled a manager into our discussion. She worded everything so well and it really took a burden off our shoulders. I wish I could communicate like that. I end up blurting everything out in the worst possible way. My transfer is supposed to go through in a few weeks. In the meantime I’m struggling with a ridiculous workload and not handling it well. I’m starting to have outbursts and I’m just making things worse for myself.

When calm, it is easier to word everything well. When anxiety is involved, it is difficult. My anxiety often gets in the way of what I say at work. I overreact and start apologizing or over-explaining myself. For me, I feel it comes from a fear of being judged.

I hope your workload settles down. You can only do what you can do.
