I was eighteen. I got away with murder. But I never said directly to the manager that I could not be bothered coming into work. They over heard me when someone was passing me the phone. The manager knew this yet proceeded to tell everyone that I used that as my reason. I told them that I was sick and could not make it in. I did not appreciate the job at the time.
Thanks for this!

Thanks for sharing this experience. I suspect we've all been there... at least a time or two in our careers.
