I was recently informed that my contract won't be renewed, and now I have to start looking for another job. Before this job I was unemployed for a year, and I struggled to find a job in my field. The worst part of that period was feeling extremely lonely and low, very low that I slowed applying for jobs to almost none a day after receiving so many rejection letters, hundreds of them. One day I applied for a job, and I was surprised to have received an offer. I took it although I was way overqualified for the job. I needed it. Now I am back to square one, with no useful gained experience from my current job that can help me find another. Add to this the current slowdown in economy due to covid-19, and travel restrictions to go home (this was an option as plan B).

HI Diurnal. Sorry you have no contract renewal.

A lot of places are using Zoom for business work. If you have time, becoming familiar with zoom meetings could be a plus to put on your resume.

Temporary workers are needed more with this much uncertainty. Good luck. @CANDC
