I recently cancelled a technical interview because after the screening interview, I dug into the company's LinkedIn page, website, and searched their few members (it's a small startup), and I didn't feel comfortable with the way they presented themselves and their online presence (for example, the person who screened me and claimed to be with the company is not on their LinkedIn page which has many hidden members by the way, or website team page, and I couldn't find any online presence for her by googling her name and location), and I was afraid it was a scam. I am not sure if I did the right thing, but my anxiety and stress were very high to move forward

It's okay, so you felt like you had to do it.
No need to regret what was done. Since you will not turn back time, what is the point of thinking about it?
I am sure that you will have many more interviews and you will find a job that suits you.

I think so, but still didn't feel comfortable with the overall company's employee's presence online, and I don't think I would share any personal information with them if things moved forward.

I know myself, if I get anxious about something, it's difficult for me to change my thinking. I did this for my peace of mind.

Your body was telling you something with the anxiety, and good move to follow your instincts.

Yeah, I've done that a few times when I had a gut feeling about a job/employer. I have learned over the years to trust my instincts. When I don't is when I seem to get into trouble. Some years ago, I remember reading that one place I decided not to continue the hiring process with laid off a significant number of employees a few months later. I think I dodged a bullet there.
