To me, if someone asks me a lot of questions, it's because I didn't make what I expect clear enough. That's MY failure. Lots of questions is a clue to someone in a leadership role that instructions/expectations given to subordinates are too vague, too broad, etc. You did nothing wrong and you are allowed to state what is and isn't acceptable communication in the workplace. Yelling is not it.

@Molinit, thank you.

I agree that it was Ok that I said this to her. She needs to know where my limits are and what I will and will not put up with. I also agree that if her instructions are not clear enough, it's on her to make it more clear. She's impossible, I've realized - utterly impossible.

So, another employee, Evan, is leaving my department and the company. He's only been with us for five months, and now he's bailing too because the company is such a mess. He gave his notice two days ago and told me yesterday.

This now leaves only two of us in my entire department with an insanely bad boss, when my department used to be SIX people PLUS a boss. The other employee who is left I think is inept and cannot carry clients. He refuses to write the monthly reports, and he refuses to get on client calls to review reports, so what good is he? This means IF I have to stay, that the brunt of all client responsibilities will fall on my shoulders, unless they hire two more people quickly.

And this other guy who is left apparently is now buddy buddy with the witch (ie, my boss) because the witch told him that Evan is leaving the company, yet the witch did not tell me (of course!).

I am crying and I am praying for a job offer with this company. Hopefully, I will hear something by tomorrow and the end of the week. If I don't get the offer, I am seriously worried about my mental health if I have to stay in this company one second longer.

I think she has mental issues... I really do. She seems unstable, at best.

So the latest is that my colleague wrote a quarterly report for a client that has not been assigned to anyone on our team since the last strategist left. This same colleague has also worked on side projects for this client.

So he interpreted and analyzed the data and wrote the report. Yet, somehow, my boss is telling me I have to review this report with the client on the monthly call, even though I did not write it, I have not been in the data to understand what's happening on this client account, AND, I have not worked on any projects for this client! So, I reviewed my colleague's report notes, and there were 2 points that I 100% disagree with, which are false statements that cannot be stated.

My boss told me that if I have an issue with this assignment, to go to the VP. So, since I have an issue with it, I took it to the VP. The VP then told me to go to my boss about it. So I did.

She deferred or delayed replying by saying "I will speak with you when the client call is scheduled". NICE, huh?!?

I had expressed my concerns to her and asked point blank: WHY am I reviewing this report with the client when (1) I did not write the report; (2) when I have not worked on this client account and (3) when I disagree with 2 points made in the report? She had NO response for any of the concerns I brought forward!

I mean, seriously. How much does this woman SUCK???????

I snapped at my new boss yesterday. She was having trouble understanding some work I did and I had to explain it to her so I snapped. And I snapped because I am super annoyed she is reviewing every single piece of work I send to my clients in addition to my daily tasks. I do not feel trusted, and I feel babysat and seriously micromanaged instead. It's not right. I am a senior in the department, and I am a senior in the company. I should be trusted to send quality work to my clients at this stage in my career and within the company. And on top of that, I produce positive results for my clients. So why am I not trusted? This stinks. I am SO unhappy.

WOW. Just WOW.

So, right now, there's only two of us left on my team to carry and manage work for 18 clients. I manage many clients of my own right now, and my more junior colleague does not. He's been doing projects for clients since coming on board two or so months ago.

So it's reporting week, in which I have 12 reports to write within 8 business days. I am almost done with my reports and will be done on day 6, Monday. I have other client worked lined up to accomplish all of next week, including side projects for clients that are not my own.

So, last week, I was given 3 projects with a tight next day turnaround. Everyone throughout my department was getting these tight deadlines from account services and were complaining to our boss about it since we have reports to write and other deadlines to meet.

My boss was collecting a list of these tight deadline/fast turnaround projects from the team to bring to the VP's attention as an issue. Well, right AFTER I gave my list to my boss of such projects, she then assigned me THREE MORE on Friday, all DUE ON MONDAY.

So I blew a gasget on her and was basically like, WTF??????? I mean, I didn't swear, but that was the gist. She said to take the issue to my VP if I have an issue. So I point blank told her "I don't want to go to the VP with this. YOU are giving me TOO MUCH".

I am blown away - literally blown away. JUST AFTER saying to me that these tight deadlines are unacceptable (essentially), she gives me three more with a 1-day turnaround????? When I am STILL writing my reports, when I have other client work to do for my own clients, plus competing deadlines?

I am beside myself and truly HATE this woman! It's like she doesn't listen AT ALL, OR she just pays lip service to my concerns and then does what she wants regardless!

So, I sent these 3 tasks back to the account manager, telling her I cannot do them on Monday, that I have other client work ahead for my OWN clients, and that perhaps my colleague can take these projects on. I am completely exasperated with not only this woman, but with account services.

This job SUCKS. I HATE it so very much!!!!!!! It's making me ILL.

I have interviews Monday and Tuesday, the ONLY silver lining.
