So, today I must join my new company for a company-wide Zoom happy hour. I am a bit nervous as I will be meeting 25 people via Zoom and will likely have to introduce myself and talk about myself a bit. I get nervous whenever I have to talk about myself in front of people I do not know.

Thanks! It went well, and was actually fun! We played a game, which helps you to get to know people better. This actually made my day today far better.

I'm winding down now. I have 1 1/2 days left at work - hoorrray!
I have not received my new computer yet for my new job. It has to come in the next 3 days or else I can't start! lol. __________________ "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination" ~4 Non Blondes |

I received my computer today.
Our company-wide meeting was canceled today, thankfully, so I do not have to deal with the discomfort of my CEO announcing my leaving and my having to say nice words in response. THANK GOODNESS. __________________ "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination" ~4 Non Blondes |

So, today is my last day of work in the hellhole. I feel kinda badly that I am giving three of my most challenging and stressful clients to my colleague, who is SO nice. I told him as much yesterday, and he said he loves a challenge, so I am like - well, thank goodness, because you'll have plenty of it with these guys.
Anyways, I am CELEBRATING. I have to drop off my computer equipment as well today at the office, and I have to speak with my CEO - YUCK. I wonder how this will go down? __________________ "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination" ~4 Non Blondes |

I let him talk for a while, and I only said, well, there's nothing more that I can say that I haven't already said. He gave me a hug goodbye and said that he is willing to give me a positive reference in the future. So that's good at least. He also said take it as a compliment that he is mad and disappointed I am leaving. __________________ "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination" ~4 Non Blondes |

Sadly they never learn the lesson when they lose employees.. We lost a lot of great people recently and some took a pay cut to go elsewhere. And administration still doesn’t make much of a change.

He also has a policy that I vehemently disagree with - it's inequitable business practice and drives me nuts. Because I was the highest paid in my department, that meant I got the largest workload - the most clients, the. most client reports to write, and the most work to do. Well, with that kind of a business approach, I became very burned out. I had told the CEO at least 3 times that I was burned out. And then I leave, and mention that burnout was one of the reasons. But still, he will refuse to look at his business model, and will likely experience continued high turnover. I couldn't even bring it up today (my being burned out) because HE brought my complaint up as a point of contention! He said, when you compared yourself to another co-worker, who earns far less than you... and he went on. So I didn't bother to defend myself, or carry on about the burn out or large workload. I figured I had already stated it and clearly, he's not looking at it from my perspective. Ridiculous. __________________ "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination" ~4 Non Blondes |

"Never let negative life experiences destroy your spirit, your sense of self worth or your self esteem. Allow each life experience, the good and the bad, to teach you something of value. Move forward, taking these gems and lessons with you. You are a better person for every experience you have, which are meant to help your soul's growth."
I wrote that. I am struggling with this one. I am battling this right now. __________________ "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination" ~4 Non Blondes |

I feel a little bad about something - I left 3 of my 8 clients in not great shape, handing the problems over to the next Digital Strategist to deal with and fix. I feel bad because for one of the client account websites, I think I actually made things a bit worse. And here I am handing it over to the next person to fix. It was handed to me in not so great shape.
And yeah, I am still processing my experience there and all the problems and issues. I have a hard time letting go. __________________ "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination" ~4 Non Blondes |

Please help. I am not feeling good walking into my next job. In fact, I'm feeling like quite the failure and not like a success as I should feel walking into a new job.
I failed 3 of my clients in my last job. And that's because my CEO sells our services as lead generation services, and that's what the client expects. At least, that explains my failure with one of my clients. With another, I failed to bring their rankings and traffic up; I did the opposite, and did more damage to their online revenue. And that's because I was overloaded with too many clients, and I did my work without too much thought. I wish I felt better right now, but I feel like total crap. __________________ "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination" ~4 Non Blondes |

It sounds like the way things were done in your last environment interfered with you doing your best work. |
