At my workplace they always try to keep information from us so we won't be able to compare workload. One of my friends has access to private information so I know there are some inequities already.

But yesterday my boss forwarded a stat that showed that one person is not doing much at all... thus, the rest of us are. So since it is official I can complain.

I pointed that out and suggested that person needs to take on more work... the answer...

"oh think that person just didn't have a lot of work"
BULLLLLLLLLLL

I have been working weekends and nights to get my workload done.... the two other people who had the same amount of workload as me, their employees, one quit and the other just stopped doing work and had to be fired.

That is it.. I am done.

So frustrated that my boss just takes me for granted like this... he refuses to advocate for me (or him) but he makes 3/4ths more salary than me.

Hey @NatalieJastrow I understand why you feel bad about the situation. Unfortunately no matter what info you become privy to or are shown, you can only worry about yourself. Even as unfair as it is, most bosses don’t like employees complaining about each other no matter if it’s warranted or not.

I hear you. It’s unfair.

I was actually told by my boss that the reason I get the most difficult cases because she knows I am the only one able to handle it and not mess it up, and it’s true. I don’t mess up. Others do

But what happens is that I have way more stress and spend way more time working because I have the most difficult cases because others cannot do their job right. Why are they allowed to keep the job then? Out of four people in our department two cannot do their job right even though they have been in this as long as me.

Sometimes I feel life would be easier if I was messing up like them too. Or if I acted dumb. Or was lazy. But I wasn’t raised that way.

my boss is definately not on my team. I asked if I could nominate the people who assisted with the work for cash awards (which the policy does say you can get them for excess work)

But really my point / hint was that I should be nominated for a cash aware for the excess work. I am the number one person on the list... and the other two people had their employees quit. QUIT!

His answer, "well I think the people who produced the stats know what people are doing"

Yes they do... and they want us all to just think that amount of work is NORMAL and shut up about it.

My boss has zero idea how good he has it. Jerk.
