I'm looking for another job again

Hi,

I got disowned by my parents. I wanted to return home but they don't want me to. I quit my job since my mother said she would help me, then she turned her back on me. So, I'm looking for jobs again. It is not easy at my age. I'm disabled and old but need to survive. Also, I'm not in my native country. I like it here but wanted to see my parents before it was too late. Now, all I have is myself. I will do my best again. I don't want to go into real estate where they wanted fees nor any bad working situation again. I am glad I quit my job since it was really hard to work the hours I was given. So, there is a silver lining to my situation. I was feeling really sad for myself. But, maybe, this is for the best. I will be on my own eventually so maybe it is better sooner than later. I just hope I can find something better so will not rush into anything. I will take a month or two to find a job. I don't want to do anything I don't want to do. I am getting some bites but so far nothing has panned out yet.

You have a good attitude. I would be a nervous wreck if I was in a similar situation. Sure hope that every works out and you can arrive at the best possible solution!

I'm working on my resume format. I looked at other sample resumes and realized mine is terrible. So, I'm working on mine. Also, I have to write a cover letter for each job. This takes time, but all I have is time now. I have not gotten any responses yet. I'm not surprised. I really am out-of-date. I am surprised I got a job before. My resume is really awful. Lol, I am laughing about it since all I got was a terrible job before- no wonder.

Hey bpforever, I have always thought you are a super positive person! I know it is a tough circumstance, but I know you can find a job somewhere!

I have an interview next week. It is a receptionist job. I am hoping for the best. I am doing better but am a bit stressed by my situation. I will hang in there!

I'm hanging in there and relaxing waiting for my interview. I need to look good so I am sleeping a lot, not to look stressed out. I feel I can get this job! I hope it works out. I am being positive. I am going to just take it easy until the interview and see how it goes. I am confident again. I was feeling bad about my situation but have some things going for me. I have enough food and a place to sleep. I have some money still to carry me over. I feel grateful for the little things. I was sad. But, I'm free again. I have nobody to blame but myself if I don't survive. I guess, I could have gotten disability if I begged for it. But, my doctors say I can work. So, they must see something I don't see. I was homeless and psychotic- hospitalized 8 times. But, they say I can work. lol, ok! I am doing ok not stellar but ok. I should take it as a compliment that my doctors think I can work. I sometimes want to give up. But, I have to survive here somehow. Noone around me cares about me. So, I figure that I should care about myself. I will make it again. I just wish it were easier to do.

Thank you, everybody!! I got the job tentatively and still need to sign the contract. I really appreciate you all for supporting my effort to survive on my own. I have to go out again and return to the clinic then talk to the compliance officer. I'm so tired but feel awesome!! Cheers!! And, again, I really appreciate all of you for your blessings and support!

I start working tomorrow and just signed the contract today. I again wanted to thank everybody! I probably won't be coming here too often anymore. I feel blessed about my situation though. I am really grateful to be working again. I feel that I got enough rest so am looking forward to being busy again. I am excited about starting! If I do a good job, I get bonuses. Yippee!! I'm feeling lucky. But, I feel this job will probably not be easy since I have to do a lot of overtime. But, I will be compensated. So, off I go tomorrow. Thank you all for your support.
