I hope I'm posting this correctly. I'm new to the forums. I'm on mental health/stress leave from my employer and I feel like I'm being hounded to return. I'm trying to take it day by day, but I'm a long way from recuperating.

Welcome to the forums!

Can you get your doctor to expedite a letter to your employer saying you are far from ready to return to work? There must be a way to keep them off your back via talking to your doc about your condition?

Unfortunately I lost my psychiatrist to retirement after 12 years, and my family doctor is really not the type to deal with mental health issues.

Ahh yes, ok. Ugh. You need someone to help you who is a doctor.

Are you in the union?

Also does your employer have an Human Resources or Occupational Health department you can talk to?

Without a physician’s letter you likely will be hounded to return. Can you talk to your GP and ask for a letter even though he normally wouldn’t deal with mental health?. It doesn’t need to be any specific doctor, just any physician. Cannot be a nurse or assistant. It says you are in Canada but it might not be that different
