Hi everyone,
I have been dealing with this for a while and keep going round in circles, so today I came up with the idea of a support forum. Maybe this community can help me out. I have a history of OCD (obsessive thoughts). About a year ago I lost my job because of pregnancy. I came up with the idea of starting a business, because I thought this would go well with having a family. Since then, I have started a business, but instead of trying to make that business succeed, I keep getting ideas for other businesses. All the time. I see business ideas everywhere. It’s like I can’t make a decision on what I really want to achieve. And maybe there is a bit of ego in there too. The idea of a successful online business is appealing. One aspect of this is that what I currently do (and what I did in my last job) involves working on the computer all the time. And I am beginning to come to the conclusion that sitting behind a desk all day is not good for your mental health. So I am not 100% motivated to work on my company, while it is what I am good at. One of the business ideas I have involves selfcare. But to make that business work, I would need to build an online presence, which again would mean a lot of of computer work. So while in the long run it would help me land work that’s better for my health (and would also stimulate to work on that on a daily basis) on the short term it means sitting inside behind a desk. Any tips? Should I work on not giving into all these ideas popping in my head? And if so, how? And what would you recommend work wise? Thank you for your help and support. |

Are there medications for OCD? I am on medication for depression and anxiety and it helps me to keep balance when I am internally conflicted and being pulled this way and that. Sure wish I knew how to be helpful to you. Hopefully others here will have some good ideas for you. It can't be fun to always be bombarded with contrary ideas. Must be an ordeal for you. So sorry!

I don’t recommend on starting all these businesses. I don’t know about your area but here most businesses fail within the first year. It’s hard to advice what job you should do as I don’t know what’s your education and experience and what do you like to do
