I was pleasantly surprised today to get an email from my supervisor today telling me that I got a $3/hour raise. This is a significant increase to what I'd been making. And it was totally unexpected - I hadn't even asked about a possible raise as I'd previously been told that the organization didn't have the funds to give experienced staff raises beyond our one year increase on our first anniversary But it makes sense since they're having trouble retaining people and the experienced people are all getting called in, regularly to cover open shifts.
So I'm happy. |

Congratulations!
I get/got better raises on disability and social security than i ever got in 30 years of working. I feel kinda bad that i couldnt resolve my issues while still at work. I never lacked for work, but i never lasted more than 3 years before any employer had enough of me and my craziness. So super congrats to you for this recognition. |

Congratulations. I never got a raise that wasn’t automatic. When I was a CNA the raises were yearly, but I did get other bonuses like sending me to certification classes which raised my pay, but I put in the time and took tests to get those raises. So whoo an unexpected pay! Whoo! Congratulations 🎈

That's an awesome surprise!
I wish more employers would increase wages. They would definitely attract more applicants and reduce turnover. __________________ Dx: Didgee Disorder |

Great news! I was surprised by a similar increase in my billing rate recently.
