I had to record myself and send it in to the company. This was yesterday. And I think I effed up pretty badly. First I wasn't wearing a collared shirt. Just a plain black t shirt. It was clean though. I brushed my hair very neatly. But the recording myself was so uncomfortable and distracting. I kept fumbling questions and I kept saying "uh" and "um" and I do think I had some good points and answers. I am going through 2 psych med withdrawels and I'm sick with a sinus infectiom and the antibiotic were making a mess of my stomach yesterday. So I'm kind of proud I even managed a recording at all.
That was just over 24 hours ago and I haven't gotten an email either way and I know they said in the next 5 days but I'm worried I just came off as a fumbling loon without a collared shirt. Should I be worried about doing badly? I do have 7 years of expierence with this type of work, well minus the gap, and I have open avaliabilty.

Do you have their email address? It might make sense to send an email reiterating your interest, experience and availability and stating that you wish you had been well and submitted a better recording. Mention that you have a sinus infection. Do not mention anything else.

Honestly those interviews sound really awful to do, I haven’t done one myself but my son and my sister both have and despite being very experienced in their fields they both struggled with the first go at it.
However they both said it got easier and both eventually got promoted via virtual interview. Maybe just chalk it up to experience and decide what you’d do differently next time. |

Interviews are certainly a learning curve. Do a shyt ton and you’ll be whipping out eloquent answers before you know it.

I didn't get the job and I was looking around for other jobs this afternoon and that position is still open.
Jeeze I didn't think I messed up that badly. Especially with a 3AM-9PM Mon-Sun avalabilty. They sent an email saying I wasn't right for that job but possibly right for the company and that was a few weeks ago.
