My main job, wants to hire another Team Lead and I've been invited to apply. I think I'm going to. It would mean more hours, which I'd be good with, and having more official responsibility for mentoring new employees which I'm currently doing informally already. It would also mean getting involved with hiring and training new hires, which I think would be interesting. I think I'd enjoy it.

I have an interview for the position this Friday. That could be interesting.
One interviewer, is my partner at my second job, in that we facilitate meetings together (we both have dual roles) where be both report to the same manager, but she's my boss in my main job. The second interviewer was my manager at a volunteer job I had a few years ago on a distress line, and I did not leave it on good terms. But hopefully she'll be able to see how much better I'm doing now in terms of my mental health. The other thing that would be weird if I get the job is I wouldn't be able to work shifts with my 3 friends at work as they're all already team leads, and only one lead is scheduled per shift. I was thinking about this last night after I got off a crisis call with a caller who was suicidal and I needed to debrief - I went to the team lead. I think it would feel kind of weird in the beginning to be the person providing that support. |

Oof sounds challenging but good luck. I’m sure they have confidence in you to put you forward. Would getting the job mean changing hours, or shifts? I believe in you! Good luck.

It would likely mean more hours / week. We have 2 shifts a day and I already work both of them. I currently normally work 3-4 shifts a week and as a team lead I'd likely work 4 - 5 shifts / week.
