I am looking for a new job as of today. Lost my most resent one yesterday. I know that I am qualified to do something for an employer, but what work is it and what can of environment.
My first goal is to get unemployment benefits. My problem with this, is the automated system keeps dropping me with a message of all agents are busy. I do not even get a holding/waiting time. This is so frustrating. Next goal is to find a job. This is hard for me to show an employer I want to work for them when my skill set is all over the place. I have 8 years of manufacturing, 6 years of drafting, and associates degrees in computer science and mechanical engineering technology. I know there is a job for me but is it close enough to me. Today is a worrying day for me. Hope this does not stay for long. Thanks for reading. |

I'd say that putting toether a "skills resume" or a "functional resume" would be good in your case.
You can find examples by doing an internet search. This seems like a good site with an example of such a resume halfway down the page: https://www.placement.com/learn/what...s-based-resume |

Couldn't help but think of Robert Frost's poem, based on the title of your thread:
"Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference." Found here: The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost | Poetry Foundation |
