I tried, its a complicated situation, long story short, I was in a band..we broke up the day after the gig, all the equipment went to the practice space..Problem is, it's 3 hours from my house, and I broke up the band, so none of the members would talk to me for weeks. So the problem afterwards, was I had no way to get it(my ride was usually the singer). Finally got it worked out to go up, and found out the other guitarist had it...and no one knows where he lives or won't tell me.

And, unfortunately I don't have proof of ownership for any of the equipment, so the authorities really can't do much

I'm still trying, it's been 3 months though..I imagine most of its already gone
