Umm, if I didn't care, I wouldn't be sitting here, reading your opinion (which you've stated a couple of times now), and keep replying to your opinion.

All good decisions, I hope, are premeditated. That means someone has thought about it. Yes, good. Was it "closed?" Well, yes, it always is. Why? Because these are the people I, first and foremost, need to trust. Why? Because these individuals act as my eyes and ears, and their judgment has to reflect my own values and judgment.

So while you may like more transparency into the process in the future, and I hear you about that, I'm not sure more transparency is going to change what I need to do in order to choose people I believe are going to be right for the position. There will never be a "vote" for this position, sorry.
