There are people who do the job because of the money, and there are people who will do the job in spite of the money, or lack of it. i do the job I do here even though I am paid far less for it here than I would be in the states; a high school teacher makes better money here than I would. I feel my job means something, so I do it. It's nice that I can afford to do it all day as a job (when i have one) so that is a plus, but that is not why I do it. It gives my life a meaning and I serve my God. And it makes a lot more sense than leaping into the breach swinging a bl"#¤#%sword around, sorry all you frustrated ancestors and all

.
I find those who don't like "do gooders" are those who for some reason don't like being made to look bad. They don't want to bother themselves with reaching out, but they don't want to be pressured to do it or be reminded that they don't. So I hear the term used and think, well, society is made up of people who cooperate in some way to build it up. In some way we all benefit from it. You don't have to be perfect to do so. Got a problem with contributing? Live in a cave. HUGGS all!
