This may be a useful site to check out. It may be tough jobwise at the moment, but things go round in circles so it will improve at some point - in the meantime going to college sounds a good idea to get the qualifications and skills so when the jobs are there you will be able to go for them. Also volunteering can be great for getting skills - charity shops, schools, animals.. Found this website that may be helpful http://volunteering.org.uk/

I know if can feel you are the only one, particularly if your friends are working, but there are a lot of people without jobs right now, it is just a tough time. I went to University when I was 28 after doing loads of stuff I didn't enjoy, so it's never too late. We put so much emphasis on working and of course it is great to get paid every month - but life can be so much more than work and there are loads of things you can do that don't cost.
