Although you cannot change how other people behave, you can change a couple of things in your life. Specially, try to incorporate some activity that will reduce your amount of stress in your life. Yoga or meditation won't harm. Any other outdoor sport can make you feel better and get connected to your community. The same is the case of volunteering.
