But of course as a curious mind is-- why are some messages moderated? if I may ask... Does a member choose that (their messages to be moderated)?
thanks

or like me some members have chosen to stay moderated so that the moderators can help them when needed...
example I am a therapist here as a member not professional. I have been on other forums where it has made other members uncomfortable having doctors, therapists, psychaitrists, psychologists be a part of the membership, I have also had situations on other forums where I would be there for my own problems and other members would attempt to have me be their online therapist.
I also tend to use words that most non professional people dont know due to my chosen career and also due to my cultural background language / wording is vastly different than that found here on psych central.
for those reasons I have chosen to remain moderated even though I am well past the mandatory 5 post moderation here. I have met others here on psych central that have also chosen to be moderated when they are having problems with language barriers, wording of posts and just having a hard time so they want to be sure their posts are ok.
being moderated doesnt always mean someone has done something wrong. just like all the other great tools and services that is found here, moderation a great tool and service that protects the members and a way to protect ourselves, that I feel makes this site better than websites.
