I agree with #1. I wasn't trying to say or even imply #2, so I apologize for coming across that way. I don't think it's at all unworthy to tell your T that you wish she would stop you from terminating and the reasons why you wish that.

I do think it's unrealistic to expect her to actually do so without telling her.
