So, I did go to the doctor today and I was right to go. I'm really sick. Probably just bacterial bronchitis and an ear infection for sure, but she was also thinking it could be mono, so we're checking that out. I got checked for pneumonia too. I doubt it's either of those, but I'm on an antibiotic now, so hopefully I'll be better.

But, she said that I needed to miss work and school for the rest of the week. And I called my boss and told her.

For those who know, she claims I have missed more than I actually have. Rather, she said I called in for those, when I just did what she said was okay for 4 out of the 6 times. She told me today, that calling in is when she has to find someone herself. So, if my boss is using that logic, I have not called in 6 times. I have only called in 2 times. And I can't argue that with my boss, because I'll get in trouble!

Well, I'm really pissed, because I have a doctor's note this time, saying I have to miss and my boss said that if I don't find someone myself to cover the shifts, I am going to be in trouble.

First of all, she never explained to me the call in process. That is not something I should have to ask myself. Secondly, a doctor is saying I should not go to work and school, because I am really sick and really contagious. I work in a nursing home. I'm supposed to go in super sick. Does this make any sense to you? My boss cares more about having shifts covered than the health of the residents.

So, I'm just really, really, really pissed right now, because this is absolutely ridiculous. I at least more than likely have these two shifts covered. Thankfully. But I feel like I should look for a new job....
