I assumed it may have been protruding because you mention a specific rib and the word "dislocation". My apologies.

The discomfort is when pressure is applied to a certain region, where is the discomfort?

i.e. Does it feel bruised and battered on the outside, or does the pain feel like its from within?

Also is there any swelling or any visible signs that something is not right?
